Anyone have any Siamese kittens for sale?

My mother's 14 year old Siamese cat was killed Thursday night by a pack of dogs. Scares me because the cat was locked in a screen porch and the dogs tore through the door to get him. She's really distraught(sp?) and I told her I would try to help her find another one. So come on guys, help me out. Oh, and about the dogs, my Dad's going to take care of them. We figure if dogs are vicious enough to tear through a screen door, my 3 year old might look like easy pickings.

Go, Dad! Shoot, shovel, and shut up.

Where do you live? We obtained an absolutely beautiful, healthy and very loving Siamese seal point from a breeder near Philadelphia. If you're near that region and would like information about them, let me know via freep mail.
And I'm sorry about your mother's cat. That must have been a horrible experience.

Another suggestion. Call the veterinarian that your mother took her cat to and ask him/her for suggestions of local breeders. Vets know where to get the healthiest and most well bred animals.

So sorry. This happened to our family cat once. I'm still furious abot it. It was two Rottweilers whose brain-dead owner had built a wall around her entire property but never got around to putting in a gate. They killed numerous cats in the neighborhood before they snatched our Eddie off the front porch.
My brother shot one of the dogs the next time they appeared on his property, but only wounded it on its lower leg and they both escaped. The injured dog ended up in traction at the vet's for about a month. Somehow, in that condition, the dog still managed to catch and eat one of the vet's kittens.
Anyway, your mom needs to pick out her own cat or kitten. Cats and owners have to "click". It's kind of like a mutual adoption. If she doesn't find one, one will find her.

Felitan Cattery This Cattery is near Austin, Texas, and they have the most beautiful Orientals and Siamese. We got our Siamese cat there!! She's gorgeous and so affectionate.

i'm so angry at what happened to your mom's cat. do a google search for siamese cat rescue or breeders and of course call the vet for some ideas. i'm not one for frivolous lawsuits but the owner of these dogs was negligent in allowing them on to your mom's property. i hope she reported this to law enforcement. i had a siamese who wandered onto our patio one night many years ago. he found us....
I see a possibility for a FreeRepublic Classified Ad section...

Also check the shelters and humane society.
Many times people are forced to give up wonderful pets because of ill health. We obtained one of our dogs this way. You save an animal from being killed, plus you don't have the hassles of training them and dealing with puppy or kitten shenanigans. Our dog was beautifully trained when we got him from the shelter and he has never caused us any problem.
Our local shelter has a website where you can view pictures of the animals for adoption, plus a brief history and the reason why they are up for adoption.

Get even first. What you do is get a stuffed toy cat and an extension cord. Then you strip the cord and ground one end and on the live end you install a light...like one of the temporary lights they sometimes use in home construction. Then you put a 4x4 foot piece of wire mesh on the ground and attach the ground wire to that. then you attach the live wire to the toy cat which you put on the wire mess. Then plug it in and holler here doggie dog and watch them bastards fry when they grab that toy cat.

My neighbor shares his home with a domesticated bobcat, who kicked some serious butt with the last dog that ventured into her yard.
Nonetheless, I second the idea to contact the veterinarian for a replacement.

Must be the reason that in many jurisdictions a free running dog (or cat) is legally feral and a target of opportunity...... "S3" (Shoot, Shovel, Shut-up) should be quietly universal.

Unless you want a registered cat with papers etc. I would suggest you check with your local animal shelter for a cat or kitten that is in need of being rescued. They may have one or another cat your mother could love as well. The cat would be greatful.
Check the internet for Siamese Rescue is also a suggestion.

Unless you're willing to fly to pick up a cat or have a cat flown to you, it would help to know what part of the country you're in.
Siamese-cats.org
Cat breeder
Siamese cat associations
Don't overlook your local animal shelter or animal rescue. Many breeds have clubs that mainly rescue only that breed...Your mother's vet may have a contact for her. And finally, be sure and ask her if she wants a kitten in the first place. She may actually prefer an adult cat that is more "settled".

The local animal rescue outfits or shelters are your best bet.
Oh, and about the dogs, my Dad's going to take care of them
What does this mean? I hope it doesn't mean anything both illegal and equally cruel. I can understand being sad and mad, but he does not have the right to "take care of them" once they are back home.

Thanks everyone, I'm in Jackson, MS. Please keep suggestions coming. My Dad and I thought about hanging some steak from deep-sea treble hooks about 3.5 feet off the ground. I know that sounds bad, my dad found TY and he's pretty p.o.'d.

I lost my cat, a white persian, last October. She was 16 years old and died of natural causes. Eveyone asked if I was going to get a cat. I told them I wasn't going to go looking for a cat but if God sent me one I would take it.
In November my son was coming out of work and found this pathetic little thing in the parking garage. He brought it to me and said, "Here Mom, God sent you a cat."
Believe me, this wouldn't have been my first choice. It was solid black, had an abscess on it's butt but I took it to the vet. Found out it was female and about 3 weeks old. The vet also noticed air under her skin, caused by a punctured lung.
Anyway, I brought her home and between the vet and I we got her healthy and she has turned into the best, funniest and most beautiful cat you would ever want.
I can't forget my dog helped too. The kitten just loved the dog, guess it was a furry, warm body and would snuggle up to her. The dog tolerated it and now the cat washes the dogs ears, face and they are best friends.
