One of them said that she was ashamed the President Bush came from Texas, or something.

Natalie Maines, lead singer of The Dixie Chicks, said at a recent London concert, "Just so you know, we're ashamed the President of the United States is from Texas."

Since that comment, the Chicks have released a statement on their official web site. In that statement, Maines said, in part:

"I feel the President is ignoring the opinions of many in the U.S. and alienating the rest of the world. My comments were made in frustration, and one of the privileges of being an American is you are free to voice your own point of view."

Maines said (in the middle of a concert) "We just want y'all to know we are ashamed of Bush and ashamed he is from Texas."

I heard on their web page they called us Freepers trailor park trash. Made me so durn mad I had to go out a kick the dog and shoot cans on the trailor park fence. And pick a fight with the girfriend next door.

"Just so you know," Maines said during the concert, "we're ashamed the president of the United States is from Texas." London fans responded with cheers of support.

Although the country music celebrity said this on foreign soil, the news was quickly picked up on the internet and music radio and spread like wildfire across the United States, alerting many country and bluegrass fans to the bash on President Bush.

As Imus said: "Why don't you make that same statement at your next concert in Austin?"

"...one of the privileges of being an American is you are free to voice your own point of view."

Another is being free to not listen to music or buy CD's recorded by ignorant, anti-American sluts.

Download Clint Black's new song FREE

http://www.clintblack.com

"I RAQ AND I ROLL"

YOU CAN WAVE YOUR SIGNS IN PROTEST
AGAINST AMERICA TAKING STANDS
THE STANDS AMERICA'S TAKEN
ARE THE REASON THAT YOU CAN

IF EVERYONE WOULD GO FOR PEACE
THERE'D BE NO NEED FOR WAR
BUT WE CAN'T IGNORE THE DEVIL
HE'LL KEEP COMING BACK FOR MORE

SOME SEE THIS IN BLACK AND WHITE
OTHERS ONLY GRAY
BUT WE'RE NOT BEGGING FOR A FIGHT
NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY

WE'VE GOT THE RESOLUTION
THAT SHOULD PUT 'EM ALL TO SHAME
BUT IT'S A DIFFERENT KIND OF DEADLINE
WHEN I'M CALLED IN THE GAME

CHORUS
I RAQ, I RACK'EM UP AND I ROLL
I'M BACK AND I'M A HIGH TECH GI JOE
I PRAY FOR PEACE AND PREPARE FOR WAR
AND I NEVER WILL FORGET
THERE'S NO PRICE TOO HIGH FOR FREEDOM
SO BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU TREAD

THE TERROR ISN'T MAN TO MAN
THEY CAN BE NO MORE THAN COWARDS
IF THEY WON'T SHOW US THEIR WEAPONS
WE MIGHT HAVE TO SHOW THEM OURS

IT MIGHT BE A SMART BOMB
THEY FIND STUPID PEOPLE TOO
IF YOU STAND WITH THE LIKES OF SADDAM
ONE JUST MIGHT FIND YOU

CHORUS II
I ROCK, I RACK'EM UP AND I ROLL
I'M BACK AND I'M A HIGH TECH GI JOE
I GOT INFRARED, GPS AND GOOD OLD FASHIONED LEAD
NO PRICE TOO HIGH FOR FREEDOM
BE CAREFUL WHERE YOU TREAD

BRIDGE
NOW YOU CAN COME ALONG
OR YOU CAN STAY BEHIND
OR YOU CAN GET OUT OF THE WAY
BUT OUR TROOPS TAKE OUT THE GARBAGE
FOR THE GOOD OLD U.S.A.

I ROCK, I RACK'EM UP AND I ROLL
IN THE USA
I ROCK, I RACK'EM UP AND I ROLL
I'M TALKIN' ABOUT THE USA

Does this woman read the polls?!?! 6-10 americans are behind the President and an equal number think that the UN is mismaging the Iraq crisis something fierce.

Oh, and Natalie, we have the right not to buy or listen to any Dixie Chicks albums. Hope you enjoyed your moment in the sun, Natalie....

They said, "Death to America" and "May a thousand jet planes infest our skyscrapers" and "We wipe our asses with the Flag, the Bible and the Constitution...buy our records, you scum!"

Other than that, nothing much. I don't know why everyone is blowing it out of proportion.
