Yesterday, the smell of campfire smoke was combined with all the usual pot smoke in the streets of New York City. Add to all that the usual shabby homeless who wander about aimlessly.

Why walking the city streets yesterday was like being on a camping trip with the Grateful Dead.

I remember those days. My opinion is, the freaky bastards saw that global cooling didn’t get any traction, so they switched to global warming.

They just changed the label to "climate change", that way no matter what happens they're covered and can claim they were right.

Every time I read as story like this, I always visualize Gilligan moving the lobster trap into deeper water.

I suspect all of the populated cities and resort areas where high rise building are built on sandy land are sinking. Pilings may delay it, but surely the land must sink to some degree.
