Former Vice President and current GOP presidential candidate Mike Pence was blasted by conservatives on social media this week over a video at a gas station that showed him appearing to fill up the tank of a pickup truck while criticizing the Biden administration.
“Remember $2 gallon gas? I do,” the Indiana Republican said to the camera as he worked the gas pump. “And then Joe Biden became president of the United States and launched his war on energy.”
But the video, seen over a million times and meant to promote his energy independence plan, was mocked by many on social media who pointed out a beeping noise could be heard in the background that suggested he wasn’t actually filling up the tank. …

Typical Leftist ploy: Ignore the real point that Biden’s energy policy is a train wreck and point out that Pence isn’t actually filling his tank. Ask yourself: Which point means more to you, your family, and your pocketbook?

Right. Of course Mike Pence knows how to fill his own gas tank. Yes the ad was sort of stupid the way they did it. And yes it is a distraction from the intended message.
the video is particularly hilarious because pence is simply holding the nozzle handle without pressing the valve actuation lever to actually dispense gas ... he’s simply faking it ... it makes you wonder how many other things he’s faking if he’s actually paying to demonstrate his faking ...
Frankly I’m surprised he doesn’t pump his own gas.

Not to defend Pence, but this pickiness makes our side look like fools, which I think started with Glenn Beck’s team.
Pence’s pitch comes as he prepares to pump gas—before selecting grade, and squeezing handle. He had already done some prep with fuel door & cap and paying, after which time he returned to cab to replace or retrieve wallet, they assume we’ll understand.
It’s weak from a production standpoint, but several takes as normally required with actual pumping of gas would overfill the tank.
Sorry, I like to be on very solid ground with my critiques (per tagline). His campaign is not worth this much energy.
His recent admission that he “could have” paused the voting, except for the chaos, was priceless, bolstering Trump’s claim that the procedural rules were tightened to prevent a VP from such action because at the time it was proper and lawful——just rare.
The bigger problem is that Pence can’t tell the truth.
Where are the “I did that” stickers ?
I suspect the criminal Gestasi DOJ is/will torture any ‘miscreants’.
Nonetheless, there should be tens of millions posted, and not just at gas stations.
