These ‘GOP 12' must go.

Updated on August 31, 2007 thanks to retirement of Sen. John Warner of VA who was one of our 'GOP 13', now 12.

Sen. Larry Craig’s indiscretion is just the latest in a series of poor judgments – both of a political and/or personal nature that has inflicted the Republican Party in recent years, thereby hurting the Republican ‘brand’. Now, thanks to actions such as these, we find the GOP in the minority in both houses in Congress, with a Democratic White House coming in 2009 looking increasingly likely. Unless the Republican Party – and its leaders – realize that the RINOs and hypocrites of our party are destroying it from within, the blood-letting will only continue pushing us further into the minority. The time has come to once and for all cleanse ourselves of these people and begin anew.

With that being said, we present our GOP Senate Defeat List. These ‘Republicans’ need defeated. The only course of action would be to defeat these people in the GOP primary thereby setting up a ‘clean’ general election campaign featuring a true Conservative versus a Democratic liberal.

2008
Susan Collins, Maine – RINO
Larry Craig, Idaho – Morally corrupt
Lindsey Graham, South Carolina – RINO
Chuck Hagel, Nebraska – RINO
Ted Stevens, Alaska - Corrupt
John Warner, Virginia – RINO, retiring

2010
Mel Martinez, Florida – RINO
John McCain – RINO (on everything but the war)
Arlen Specter, Pennsylvania – The King of the RINOs
David Vitter, Louisiana – Morally corrupt
George V. Voinovich, Ohio – RINO

2012
Trent Lott, Mississippi – RINO on most issues
Olympia Snowe, Maine – RINO

These ‘GOP 12’ must go.

Note: We were very close to adding Lamar Alexander (Tennessee) and Richard Lugar (Indiana) to this list, but so far, we'll keep them off of it, pending future actions by these two who both appear to be getting increasingly close to becoming RINOs, but as of now, are not.

You can go ahead and add Alexander and Lugar (for the Law of the Sea Treaty).

Looking at that roster, it’s easy to understand why the “Republican” controlled Senate was so ineffective.

In addition, the remaining 30+ GOP senators must work together to push out the 12 deadwood RINO’s in leadership.

Alexander and Lugar ARE RINOs but perhaps, restraining themselves enough to hold on to their power, at the moment.

Lugar has definitely stepped over the line one too many times and needs to be included in your "hit list" over his chicken votes on the military.

I wouldn’t include David Vitter in the group. The GOP worked too hard for his seat and at some point we have to stand up for our own just to irritate the Democrats.
