MOSQUERADE: What Is Really Behind the Ground Zero ‘Community Center’?

Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf has advertised the controversial Ground Zero mosque as an Islamic outreach to the community, a cultural center open and intended to unify all religions. Today, he still stands by that assertion, even as his proposed mosque continues to exact the opposite effect before it’s even built.

Now, harsh critics, such as Chairman of the Religious Freedom Coalition, William Murray, are presented with even more perplexing information in the form of Sharif El-Gamal (pictured), the mysterious developer behind the mosque.

Reportedly a waiter by profession who suddenly “came into” the kind of money to spearhead a $100 million project like this, El-Gamal also has, not just a run-in with the law in his checkered past, but a proverbial rap sheet that includes assault, drunk driving and enough disorderly conducts to inspire a TV reality show. Not to mention he owes $227,000 in unpaid real estate taxes, compounded daily.

All this, and the organizers behind the mosque refuse to disclose the funding sources for the project.

In his day-to-day, what Murray finds most troubling about this already infamous mosque project is the double standard it represents on behalf of its supporters, including Mayor Bloomberg, who tout its construction as a case study in America’s exercise of religious freedom, in spite of the international target on the back of Christianity.

“The developers of the Ground Zero mosque refuse to even admit to the violence against Christianity in the name of Islam, much less condemn it,” says Murray. “Halfway through the so-called ‘holy month’ of Ramadan there were more than 100 attacks by Muslims on civilian targets with more than 400 dead and thousands injured. How can it be claimed that the Ground Zero mosque is a tribute to tolerance and peace?”

William Murray works with Iraqi Christians whose family members have been kidnapped, tortured and brutally murdered for such reasons as refusing to turn an underage Christian girl over for marriage to an older Muslim man. “Sharia is brutal,” says Murray, referring to the theocratic law many Muslims want to impose on the world, “and, yet, we have the liberal wing of Western society that seems willing to adopt it out of their hatred for the traditional church.”

Taking action “to expose the hypocrisy of the Ground Zero mosque’s organizers,” Murray’s organization has produced a 60-second TV commercial showing the brutality toward Christians worldwide by a religion that demands tolerance of its own intolerance. The commercial will run in various markets throughout the United States.

The Prophet imposed his rule on parts of Arabia through a series of ghazvas, or razzias (the origin of the English word "raid").

The ghazva was designed to terrorize the infidels, convince them that their civilization was doomed and force them to submit
to Islamic rule. Those who participated in the ghazva were known as the ghazis, or raiders.
After each ghazva, the Prophet ordered the creation of a rabat -- or a point of contact at the heart of the infidel territory raided.
The rabat consisted of an area for prayer, a section for the raiders to eat and rest and facilities to train and prepare
for future razzias. Later Muslim rulers used the tactic of ghazva to conquer territory in the Persian and Byzantine empires.
After each raid, they built a rabat to prepare for the next razzia.

It is no coincidence that Islamists routinely use the term ghazva to describe the 9/11 attacks against New York and Washington.
The terrorists who carried out the attack are referred to as ghazis or shahids (martyrs).
Thus, building a rabat close to Ground Zero would be in accordance with a tradition started by the Prophet.
To all those who believe and hope that the 9/11 ghazva would lead to the destruction of the American "Great Satan,"
this would be of great symbolic value."

Islamic culture and the unification of other religions is an interesting concepts best viewed through the lens of history. The unification process that Islam uses is indistinguishable from the acts of terrorism on 911, so from a perverse, Islamic point of view, it is quite appropriate to build the monument to the terrorists at ground zero that promises to continue their scheme of unification.

Obama means to erase the meaning of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks from the American psyche and convert Sept. 11 into a day of leftist celebration and statist idolatry, and an "interfaith day of service".

The Pretender In Chief cannot have Americans remembering what really happened on 9-11-01. As an islamist he must defuse any potential threat to his true religion and denigrate the sacrifices of those who were murdered by his brother Muslims on that tragic day.
