This is no longer America. You no longer have the opportunity for the American Dream. You, we, me -- we're all slaves now. The Supreme Court of the United States of America has just made it official.

Congress has abandoned you. The executive branch has abandoned you. SCOTUS has abandoned you. The lapdog media has abandoned you.

George H.W. Bush gave us David Souter.

George W. Bush gave us John Roberts.

Can we RISK ever allowing Jeb Bush anywhere NEAR the White House?

So, the federal government can now mandate commerce; they simply need to represent it is a negative tax: Buy this or else get taxed. So much for the US Constitution.

The US Supreme Court also ruled recently that all property is subject to confiscation to be sold for profit of the government with the owner getting what the government decides to give them. Combined with this ruling the property owner can now be taxed the entire amount of the proceeds and receive nothing.

We are now literal slaves to the government.

Since the federal government refuses to obey the constitution we should too! REVOLT!!!

Correct. Now the government can say 'We will Tax You if you Don't eat your Broccoli", We will hire thousands of IRS (KGB) agents to scour your bank records to see that you do. And if we find anything other that is suspicious, at all, we will SIC THEM ON YOU!

Welcome back to Tyranny America. King George III has returned.

And what happens when the 50% drops to 40%, then 30%, etc. This whole thing is just one of the ways being used to destroy this nation’s sovereignty. The plan is for all of to eventually be beholden to the U.N. and the NEW WORLD ORDER. Except for muslims and the Amish. They’re exempt.

The monster has to be starved. Cut off all non-essential economic activity. Every bit of it.

"First, and most importantly, it is abundantly clear the Constitution does not guarantee that individuals may avoid taxation through inactivity. The Federal Government does have the power to impose a tax on those without health insurance."

My heart sank when I saw what SCOTUS had done. It’s not hyperbole to recognize this as a last, dying gasp of the Republic.

“The monster has to be starved. Cut off all non-essential economic activity. Every bit of it.”

Way back when I read Atlas Shrugged I went along with its general ideological bent and enjoyed the thrill ride, but never committed emotionally or morally to Galt’s plan. Because I considered it wrong to intentionally allow the economy to crash, and that it was every man’s duty, despite the government, to do his best.

No longer. I can see where she was coming from. Shrugging is imminently moral. Better to sweep streets than build a fortune in 2012 U.S.

Land of the USED to be free.

Now any tyranny that can be wrapped in a tax is legal. This destroys enumerated powers. It makes us all tax slaves, which we add to being debt serfs.
