The Washington Post says the world will end in 12 years. Here's my response.

Here’s my response to a Washington Post article called “Ocasio-Cortez says the world will end in 12 years. She is absolutely right.”

I know that manmade global warming is real.

I know that as we burn fossil fuels, we increase the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, and this makes the atmosphere’s temperature increase.

I am not a denier of global warming.

But I am someone who rejects the ridiculous scaremongering that is going on regarding global warming.

The Washington Post recently published this article, which is called, “Ocasio-Cortez says the world will end in 12 years. She is absolutely right.”

Here’s video of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez making her statement:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHk8nn0nw18

I would now like to propose my own hypothesis: Even if we were to do absolutely nothing to reduce our emissions of carbon dioxide in the next 12 years, our release of carbon dioxide will not cause the world to end in 12 years.

My hypothesis is based on the following four scientific observations:

1) According to this article from Live Science, back when the dinosaurs were alive, carbon dioxide levels in the air were five times as high as they are today. But the world did not end. On the contrary, life thrived, and the world had its biggest land animals of all time.

2) According to this article from the BBC, back when the dinosaurs were alive, global temperatures were so high that there were no polar ice caps. But the world did not end. On the contrary, life thrived, and the world had its biggest land animals of all time.

3) According to this article from the Ontario Ministry of Agricultural, Food, and Rural Affairs, the owners of commercial greenhouses deliberately pump extra carbon dioxide into the air inside their greenhouses. But this has not caused the world to end. On the contrary, it makes the plants inside the greenhouses grow better.

4) According to this article from NASA, humans’ burning of fossil fuels has caused an increase in the amount of carbon dioxide in the air. But the world did not end. On the contrary, the title of the NASA article is “Carbon Dioxide Fertilization Greening Earth, Study Finds.”

So there we have four different real world examples – all verified by scientists – that show that having higher levels of carbon dioxide causes an increase, not a decrease, in plant life.

Animals eat plants.

And other animals eat the animals that eat plants.

Carbon dioxide is plant food.

Carbon dioxide if the bottom of the food chain.

Therefore, to repeat my hypothesis: Even if we were to do absolutely nothing to reduce our emissions of carbon dioxide in the next 12 years, our release of carbon dioxide will not cause the world to end in 12 years.

One of the great things that we learn from the scientific method is that if an event is based on science, then that event can be repeated. Given the four scientific observations that I have posted above, science tells us that having more carbon dioxide in the air makes things better for life, not worse.

Another great thing about the scientific method is that over time, we can find out if our hypothesis turns out to be true or false.

So all we have to do now is to wait 12 years, and we’ll find out who is right and who is wrong about the world ending in 12 years due to our emissions of carbon dioxide.

Israelis have calculated that the world can support a population of 40-50 billion, if its resources were used correctly.

(farm seaweed, farm a lot of desert areas, etc.)

No need to panic yet.

I want the WaComPost to agree that if the world doesn’t end in 12 years like they say it will, they will dissolve their newspaper and shut down forever. Thus, making their prediction true, at least for them....

At my age I will be glad to make it another 12 years. I’m guessing the reason I croak won’t be due to a half a degree rise in average temperatures.

Twelve years is not much time to have all the Demonicrats tried, convicted, sentenced and hanged for abortion genocide, crimes against humanity and treason.

We need to get started as soon as possible.

If the CO2 we are putting in the atmosphere is going to kill us why didn’t the Earth end in the past when the atmosphere had MORE CO2?

I’ll panic in 11 years when the ComPost closes down. I’ll be 82 and ready to see the world end. That’ll be me at the far end of the bar at “The Restaurant at the End of the Universe.”

You can sure of one thing: the Washington Post will cease to exist long before the world goes away.

If Earth only has 12 years it would be impossible to save so there’s no point ,have as much fun as to like ,why have children ,borrow as much money you can and spend it

I love when Liberals literally pull a number out of their Ass.

By the way, that number has always been two, as in did you go number one or number two?

"I know that as we burn fossil fuels, we increase the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, and this makes the atmosphere’s temperature increase."

That statement is entirely untrue but is the basis for all the hysteria about man-made or Anthropogenic Global Warming.

"Carbon dioxide in the atmosphere [historically] is the product of oceanic respiration due to the well-known but under-appreciated solubility pump. Carbon dioxide rises out of warm ocean waters where it is added to the atmosphere. There it is mixed with residual and accidental CO2, and circulated, to be absorbed into the sink of the cold ocean waters. Next the thermohaline circulation carries the CO2-rich sea water deep into the ocean. A millennium later it appears at the surface in warm waters, saturated by lower pressure and higher temperature, to be exhausted back into the atmosphere. Throughout the past 420 millennia, comprising four interglacial periods, the Vostok record of atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration is imprinted with, and fully characterized by, the physics of the solubility of CO2 in water, along with the lag in the deep ocean circulation. Notwithstanding that carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas, atmospheric carbon dioxide has neither caused nor amplified global temperature increases. Increased carbon dioxide has been an effect of global warming, not a cause. Technically, carbon dioxide is a lagging proxy for ocean temperatures. When global temperature, and along with it, ocean temperature rises, the physics of solubility causes atmospheric CO2 to increase.

If increases in carbon dioxide, or any other greenhouse gas, could have in turn raised global temperatures, the positive feedback would have been catastrophic. While the conditions for such a catastrophe were present in the Vostok record from natural causes, the runaway event did not occur. Carbon dioxide does not accumulate in the atmosphere."

NASA just release a report that the Earth is heading into a years long cooling period. Guess what the cause is.

First to get it right, receives a voucher for a 2019 Dodge Charger, with a 6.4-liter V-8 and a 707-hp gas-guzzling muscle monster. Second runner-up gets the same car with only 5.7-liter V-8 at 485-hp. Third runner-up is stuck with an used Chevy Volt. Sorry Chevrolet stopped making the Volt - no new car for you.

Did you know that at a certain point, in the global mind of the satanic globalizing globalists they actually believe that those who are "enlightened" will achieve their "omega point" where they will, but only those who are worthy - they will transcend puny earthly life and evolve into their higher being status.

Yeah, that is true. That is why they have to get the earth all depopulated and stuff. You know the environment has to be just perfect when they transform.

Yep.

There are very wealthy people who stand to make boatloads of money off of climate change. They will push the meme to its end. Useful idiots will protest, fearing the end of the world. They are too willfully ignorant to see they are being used to a nefarious end.
