You all know by now that I’m into beauty pageants given that I grew up in Puerto Rico, aside from the fact that my best friend’s daughter is the current Miss Puerto Rico. She’ll be participating in the Miss Universe Pageant in December 2019. As I’ve mentioned in previous posts about this subject, Donald Trump has been to the island numerous times and we got to know him quite well when he was the owner of Miss Universe, Inc.

People call President Trump a “Racist”, which is so untrue. I’ve just analyzed the following Miss Universe Pageant data, and found that under Donald Trump’s management of the pageant (Summer 1996- Summer 2015), three of the twenty girls were African and several others are mixed races with traces of African.
Under Trump is the only time a black woman crowned another black woman (1998 to 1999).
Under Trump, the only two (2) black Africans from the African Continent were crowned Miss Universe - Angola (2011) & Bostwana (1999). The other winner of African descent was from Trinidad-Tobago (1998).
(Previously, only White South Africans and White Namibians had been crowned Miss Universe. He crowned no White Africans.)
Only one (1) European was crowned Miss Universe under Trump in 2002 and she was dethroned.
Three (3) Asians were crowned Miss Universe under Trump (including Miss USA 1997 Brook Lee, who was half-Korean/half-Hawaiian).
Ten (10) Latinas were crowned Miss Universe under Trump.
Pretty good résume, no?

Of course. The idea that Trump is racist is preposterous. It’s a smear leveled at every Republican President and Presidential candidate since Nixon.

Donald Trump bought the pageant in 1996 from ITT Corp. Trump struck a broadcasting arrangement with CBS until 2002. In 1998, Miss Universe, Inc. changed its name to the Miss Universe Organization, and moved its headquarters from Los Angeles to New York City. In late 2002, Trump entered into a joint venture with NBC, which in 2003 outbid the other markets for the TV rights. From 2003 to 2014, the pageant was broadcast in the United States on NBC.
In June 2015, NBC canceled all business relationships with Trump and the Miss Universe Organization in response to controversial statements about illegal immigrants who crossed the border from Mexico. As part of the legal settlement, in September 2015, Trump bought out NBC's 50% stake in the company, making him the company's sole owner. Three days later he sold the whole company to WME/IMG. Following the change of ownership, in October 2015, Fox and Azteca became the official broadcasters of the Miss Universe and Miss USA pageants. The current president of the Miss Universe Organization is Paula Shugart, who has held this position since 1997.

It is completely natural to associate with your own. I prefer to stay completely natural. Besides, it is not the skin color. It is that weird hair!!
For many years I would take deep offense to claims of racism by the left when leveled against those I support. In fact I still do since it is the most vile charge one can level. But it has been used so often now that it’s effectiveness has diminished. The left has become so predictable it’s amusing. But at some point we must ask them if honest criticism of minoritiy’s ideas and opinions is ever possible in their eyes without being labeled a racist.
This only proves that Donald Trump objectifies women of color more than he objectifies white women. Racist!

I don’t remember the contest using so many LGBT and PC judges when it was owned by Trump.
