he Biden administration has severely overstated by more in recent days the total number of jobs the American Jobs Plan (AJP), President Joe Biden’s $2.25 trillion infrastructure program, will create if signed into law.
Numerous Biden administration senior officials, including White House press secretary Jen Psaki, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, National Economic Council director Brian Deese and even Biden himself, began touting a Moody’s Analytics estimate over the weekend that says the economy will create “19 million” jobs over the next 10 years if the AJP is passed.
However, Mark Zandi, Moody’s chief economist and one of two authors behind the firm’s analysis of Biden’s plan, told The Washington Post Monday that the estimate projected various potential legislative outcomes and that AJP alone is only expected to net the country 2.7 million jobs, a figure roughly 600% smaller than than the 19 million figure referenced over the weekend.
If Biden’s latest plan passes, the economy would likely create 18.96 million jobs by the end of 2030. If the plan doesn’t pass, the economy would likely still create 16.3 million jobs over that same timeframe, Zandi noted.

This infrastructure spending will not fix roads and bridges, but will increase debt and inflation. The US dollar won't be worth crap. It make America poor, weak and dependent. That's exactly what the Democrats want.
Biden would love to create 19 million .ore government bureaucrats to torment us even more.
What I was getting at was that “600% less than 19 million” is meaningless. Yes, 19 million is about 700% of 2.7 million, or 600% more than 2.7 million. However, 2.7 million is about 14% of 19 million, or 86% less. Not 600% less.
It is likely the large infrastructure works will be concentrated to a few qualified companies, constrained by labor and materials.
We do need to revamp our decaying infrastructure but the work has to be prioritized and spread out for decades.
