Freedom Works.

2 words that are magic together.

But not always true.

The fantasy of gazing at the exquisite form of a babe like Gloria Vanderbilt is wonderful (click the red link under the above title if you are wondering where the proof is) but, for most of us, it IS a fantasy.

Roosevelt and Rockwell sounded and looked great in putting forward powerful words and images for freedom, but the big government stupidity, which got a huge kick along from FDR, ravages freedom over and over again now across the western world.

Edward The Sixth's Regency Council put through very real and positive reforms. But some people in the Anglican Church now are so wedded to the good created then, that they sometimes struggle to engage creatively in the world now.

Delightful Gloria wrote a book with her son, Anderson Cooper: The Rainbow Comes and Goes, about their lives. Anderson’s brother committed suicide right in front of his mother. Ran in the door of their Park Avenue apartment, ran out on the deck and jumped over the railing to his death 17 floors below. As I recall, he was young, perhaps a recent college grad.

Someone I knew in NYC new Gloria. She couldn’t stop crying all day every day for almost two years, wondered when the grieving would end.

That book helped me so much when my own son died, not from leaping off a building. But a dead child is a dead child.

I lost one too many years ago. It is almost too much to endure and one becomes desperate for relief from the pain, any relief. That these parents are coherent and speaking to the press and not in a catatonic shell-shocked state in the privacy of their home is beyond me.
