We need a national divorce, however, I have to think about the red areas of blue states (most of Maine, upstate New York and the Quiet Corner of Connecticut) because good Americans live there, too.
The national divorce needs to be statehood for the major metropolitan areas - so the rot is contained to their borders. Democrats will fight it fiercely, but places like Chicago, Philadelphia, , Milwaukee, Atlanta, and Phoenix need to be kicked out of their respective states and forced to operate as new and separate separate city-states, rather than be allowed to continue to dominate governance over large geographical areas.
