I hope and pray it never happens to this wonderful country and its people. Would never advocate it in the slightest and there is no need for it. Speculating that if it did happen, however, it would be rural versus urban and the rural areas control the food supply, trucking into the cities, can stop trains in remote areas, and control the electrical grid. The average city store has about three days’ supply of food and that is in normal times. People can adjust to no heat or light; its much more difficult to adapt to no food.

In this day today’s people will not go without, they will steal and murder to get what they need...Back during the Great Depression people would literally starve before stealing to survive..Today gangs of City dwellers will swarm the countryside to get supplies no matter who gets in the way..

People in rural areas can grow food, but agricultural specialization means that many areas would have to shift from cash crops to more general production. A lot of rural areas in the west aren’t really suited for agriculture. Rural populations in the US are smaller than urban/suburban ones, and in some parts of the country the suburbs wouldn’t automatically be on the same side as the further countryside. So it wouldn’t be as easy to take on the cities as many seem to think.

How do you keep warm in an “apartment” in a city? There are no fireplaces or wood stoves in apartments are there?

In some states you may not freeze to death but you’ll be damned uncomfortable. Where would you cook what food you may find without someone murdering you for it?

Where will you find the sandbags and the sand to fortify yourself and your family? How will you get to water?

Can you dig a latrine in an apartment? When the immediacy of the necessity is upon you, it’s too late!

Just “something” to think about! And, there’s more.

Agreed.

However, I see it also turning very racial.

Considering the demographics of the cities, or what the demographics are turning into, the urbanites will be relatively easy to identify from a distance.

That's going to be rough on those who look like that demographic but aren't urbanites or leftists.
