Bexar County Sheriff’s lieutenant, who was fired from her job after posting pictures from the Jan 6 Capitol protest, has secured a $395,000 legal settlement.
The county’s insurer will pay Roxanne Mathai the federal out-of-court settlement.

The settlement should come from those responsible for the firing, not the insurance company or taxpayers.
The prog illegal alien supporting Sheriff should have to pay this out of his pocket.
She’s “permitted “ to reapply for her position.
Nope. That should be her NEXT lawsuit. To be REINSTATED to the department...with all subsequent raises and promotions she would naturally have applied for during the lost time.
“I believe it — that the insurrection itself was a terrorist act, and she was there in support of it,” said Salazar during his deposition.”
That looks like a nothing-but-net defamation lawsuit to me.

That’s a pretty important little piece of information there.

A detention lieutenant was fired from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office in Texas for attending the Trump rally in DC on January 6, even though she never entered the Capitol.
Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar, who fired Roxanne Mathai for attending the rally, campaigned for Joe Biden during the 2020 election.
Mathai had posted about being at the rally on social media, but never entered the building. She even specifically posted that she had no desire to enter the building and break the law.
Though she was simply exercising her First Amendment rights and attending a rally hosted by the then-President of the United States, Sheriff Salazar immediately began publicly condemning her....
Maybe she should run for his job now. She has more sense.
