I tuned in mid-broadcast last segment to the John and Ken Show, to hear one of them (John?) mercilessly berate Rev. Lou Sheldon on the phone. Absolutely disgraceful ranting at Sheldon and at the Religious Right and their influence in getting the Congressional bill passed this last weekend in efforts to protect and preserve the life of Terri Schiavo. DISGRACEFUL! The other basically agreed with the rant. Lou Sheldon tried to make his case but couldn't get a word in edgewise. (They are off onto other topics now)

While J&K have done many good things and lead many good causes, they are absolute enemies of Terri at present, with their spin and attitude. Lou Sheldon was handy to be their whipping-boy. So...

....please FReep them, BUT WITHOUT FLAMING, KFI is an important station and J&K are often on the right side. Hope we can persuade them to reconsider this and not play into the hands of the Cult of Death. Advertisers you can call to let them know how you feel about this:

I was listening to the exact same broadcast, and they (John) gave Sheldon the thrashing he deserved.

He and his nutjob TVC have been on their crusade to install Taliban style Christianity on the USA and John & Ken called him on it.

I loved every minute of it.

I'll bet it came as a surprise to you as well that you were part of a massive conspiracy to install a theocracy here in America. Folks have been making that argument since the founding, and I see 228 years of them being proven wrong. People said it when I was a little boy, they are saying it as I have become a man, and I'll bet they'll still be warning of the next crusade attempt to turn us into the Taliban (or whatever is the buzzword smear label of that day) when I am sitting on my porch with grey hair and busted knees reading to my grandchildren.

There have been a lot of deeply nasty posts here on FR over the last couple of days. I don't know what it is behind this, but I do not like what I see.

Sounds just like when JOHN & KEN landed all over Los Angeles Mayor HAHN last Primary Election afternoon.

HAHN was then running 3rd and called into to plead his case to the voters. JOHN & KEN screamed and yelled all over the place, not allowing the Mayor to speak until the very end of this Radio Interview, hoping on the air that HAHN would lose the Eleciton that night.

After quickly summing up his most important acheivements during his 1st term in office Mayor HAHN said he would leave his fate to the wisdom of the voters of Los Angeles.

HAHN came in 2nd, placing him in a final runoff election, by 5,700 votes over the 3rd place finisher.

I listen to these guys on occasions in LA and I always get the feeling that just before the show they pick an issue (or issues) and then do a coin flip to decide which side they are going to be on. Somehow, they just seem to lack conviction in some of their arguments.

Since I am just an occasional listener, that could be off the mark, but it is the impression I have gotten.

Fox News host Sean Hannity and MSNBC host Joe Scarborough both promoted Dr. William Hammesfahr’s false claim that he is a Nobel Prize nominee. Hammesfahr, a Florida neurologist disciplined in 2003 by the Florida Board of Medicine who claims he can help Terri Schiavo, testified during an October 2002 court hearing on the Schiavo case that his claim to be a Nobel nominee is based on a letter written by Rep. Mike Bilirakis (R-FL) recommending him for the prize. But Bilirakis is not qualified to make a valid nomination under the Nobel rules. According to the process posted on the Nobel Prize website, the Nobel Assembly sends out invitations to approximately 3,000 people who are allowed to propose candidates. The 3,000 are “mainly members of the Nobel Assembly, previous prize winners, and a selection of professors at universities around the world.”
