You'd think it would be written into his contract that he's not allowed to ride a motorcycle...
At least not without a helmet.
It probably was. It was in Kellan Winslow Jr's contract and it didn't stop him.
They asked him to write that in, as I understand!
The write it right into your contract in the NBA. Riding a motorcycle VOIDS your contract, and for good reason. Just ask promising Bulls point guard Jay Williams who ruined his career pulling a stunt like this. He was lucky that the Bulls decided to pay him the rest of his contract, they didn't have to.
Rothlisberger is a moron for pulling a stunt like that.
I'll guarantee this type of activity is prohibited by his contract. This is terrible, my wife lost someone very dear to her this exact same way a year or so ago.
There is, though it doesn't specify motorcycle riding.
If, for example, he's injured to the extent he can no longer play, his contract will likely be voidable. They'll probably settle it out to keep the PR hounds happy.
Don't know about football contracts, but riding a motorcycle will void an NBA contract. Jeez, what a stupid way to risk a career. Wait until retirement, you'll be older and wiser.
