Anyone catch the remarks on FOX how Dems made sure Lieberman would be ousted?

Pretty interesting strategy revealed how the RATS made sure Lieberman would go down in defeat. They petitioned independents to cross party lines to register as Democrat, which 14,000 independents did in order to vote in Democratic primary in order to stick it to Lieberman.
By stacking the deck against old Joe they can now sing how their anti-war stance is what defeated him. Yeah right...

I think the Lamont team made a mistake sabotaging Joe's Web site.
Something like that is really underhanded and will just make Joe fight harder in the General Election.
I hope they both spend a fortune fighting for this 'safe seat'.

I daresay his support for the war has made him unpopular with some independants as well as anti-war Democrats.

they may have won this battle with that tactic, but I believe they will lose the war because of the same move.
IMHO, these independencts will go with Joe in the general elction.

To run as an Independent, one must no longer be a Democrat (officially).
Thus, the Democrats just lost a Senator tonight to a switch to Independent.
There are now only 43 Democratic Party Senators in Congress, plus Independents Jeffords and Lieberman.

To hell with them all. Lieberman seems to be a good man, but a huge liberal none-the-less. That lamont character is no different, except he is a FAAAAR left wing liberal. Either way, a liberal is going to have that seat. It would be wise to forget about it and focus on more important battles elsewhere.

This happened out here too in a Republican primary .. some moonbats I know were gloating about how they screwed the primary by registering as Republicans.. they called themselves RINOS.. Republican In Name Only...

According to one bit of analysis on Fox this evening, the Democrats don't have to worry--whether Lamont or Lieberman wins in the fall, they can count on that seat since the Republican candidate is so unlikely to win. They may ignore that race and concentrate on states where they think they can pick up a seat now held by a Republican.
Lieberman may have offended the more leftwing Democrats who vote in the primary by his support for the war in Iraq and his support for Israel, but on 95% of the issues he's a reliable liberal vote for the Democrats.

True, Joe is a classy guy. His politics are not even close to mine, but I respect him. They turned on him for supporting the war? Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't 97 other Senators vote that way too?
