Red Wings are playing the Nashville Predators right now. Detroit is leading 1-0 with 9 minutes to play in the third period.

OK, first period over. Same score.
2nd period almost over. Detroit still ahead 1-0.
Markov has taken a stick in the face, and Marek Zidlicky just plowed over Pavel Datsyuk. On that note, the second period ends.
YES! Nicklas Lidstrom scores for the Wings, making it 2-0 now! And some nice passing by Pavel Datsyuk.

Oh man...this is the last time I watch a Red Wings game after watching Miracle. I've got the image of the US (in white) and the USSR (in red) playing hockey, and when Detroit wears their red jerseys and they're facing so that you can't see the wing on the front, their uniforms look like the old Soviet jerseys. Especially for the players with Russian names on the back.
Wow Hašek is doing great tonight! He's made some really awesome saves...maybe he can make this one a shut-out.

Predators pull their goalie, Dan Cleary scores, Predators put their goalie back, time runs out, Detroit wins 3-0, Hašek pulls off another shut-out. YES!
Rangers and Caps tonight, but thanks to blackout restrictions I can't watch the game here on my computer. (And thanks to my not having cable, I can't watch it on TV either). But I really don't know who to root for--I like both teams and they've both got good players.

Well it's about time Comcast showed a hockey game! Tonight's the Rangers and the Hurricanes. It will be, shall we say, The Perfect Storm, as last year's Stanley Cup champions face off against the team with Jagr, Shanahan, Prucha, and Lundqvist.
Carolina scores! Craig Adams gets the goal and Anton Babchuk gets the assist. 1-0.
Jagr scores! Tied 1-1 now. Hurricanes taking a lot of good shots, but Weekes has stopped them all this period. Great goaltending from both teams. This is gonna be a good game. 3rd period starts in a few minutes.
A bit of action these first two periods--Fedor Tyutin gets toppled by Eric Staal, Marek Malik gets two penalties for hooking, and twice now all the on-ice members of both teams have swarmed in front of the goal trying to either score or deflect the puck away.
