I just got word that fellow FReeper and co-worker CougarGA7 had a heart attack over the weekend. I've spoken to his wife and he is in the hospital and has had a stent installed, and the prognosis looks good for recovery.
Keeping him in your thoughts is appreciated. Those who are inclined to, a prayer would be nice. Those who know him are welcome to post such friendly abuse as is merited.
PS:We're chucking out all the microwave food in your office.

St Patty’s day was the one year anniversary of my heart scare. I went to the hospital thinking I was having a heart attack and came out a diabetic (type 2).
As if that were not bad enough, then came the insult added to the injury. They took me down to the operating room for a HEART test (cath) and I came back with my bizzness shaved. My good news was that they found a heart and no blockages.
Just keep in mind that the less you sweat, the less it itches.

I found internet access here at the hospital. I’m already getting in trouble for using it by Mrs. Cougar but she said I was allowed to write a quick note.
First of all I want to thank all of you for you prayers. This has been damn scary and all told I’ve gotten very lucky.
I had back pain last Friday night and at the age of 38 thought it was just that. Apparently that’s not what it was. I had a 99 percent blockage of an artery in my heart and because of this I have lost 28 percent of my heart function. Some of that is probably because I didn’t go to the emergency room until Saturday night when it had escallated into a major heart attack. (There’s probably a lesson there somewhere).
The angioplasty and stent went real well though and other than trying to bleed to death through my femoral artery (ER gave me a bunch of bloodthinners) it went rather smooth. I just got moved out of ICU and am now in the Cardio area. Hopefully I will be able to go home tomorrow but first they have to get my heart rate down.
It’s funny that TS and I were joking that if one of us were to die that the other would write his opus. Thank God this is not an opus.
Thank you all again, just reading this thread has made me feel worlds better. And thank you TS its good to have friends like you.
