Things could go bad like Iran sinking boats in the Strait of Hormuz and oils goes up to 200 dollars a barrel. A severe storm sweeps across the Country bringing us to our knees. The Government has to implement Martial Law. The more we can take care of ourselves the less we need outside help.

Storing supplies,having other means to heat our homes and to take care of our families till we can right the ship. We need a list of things we can do to help us and even our neighbors. So let's put our heads together and see what we can do.

James Wesley Rawles is the author of the novel, PATRIOTS which is all about what happens in the USA after a complete total financial meltdown. It was a very thought provocative read.

He has recently written another non-fiction book about how to survive anything, but I'm unfamiliar with it.

It follows a group of old college friends from all over the USA who have prepped for about a decade and have a "safe harbor" way out in the rural West. It follows their story and adventures for years, and if you are serious about SERIOUS prepping, the kind that goes beyond the "3 days of canned food & water" - then you may well enjoy PATRIOTS. Author Rawles also maintains an excellent blog site all about survivalism.
