I absolutely hate that so many of the old freepers...the ones that would actually, faithfully give to keep the site going...have been chased off by others who just disagreed with them. We can disagree without demanding the other side get banned! It would be nice if we could just start anew! stop banning people just because they don’t fall at the feet of your favorite candidate. When push comes to shove, everyone who votes “Republican” will vote for the one who will do best for our country! Just because the other person isn’t as “Christian” as you are, doesn’t mean they won’t vote for the best candidate. Please...a little bit of consideration for the other people who post here would be very nice...that way, there would be more people who appreciate the site and would donate to keep it going!

People getting banned is a management decision. Management owns and runs this place. They get the final say.
AFAIK, members of FR don’t have a say on who stays and who goes.
That being said, I’m not advocating the banning of anyone. I would just like for the habitual users of this site to donate $1 a month. That would end FReepathons, forever.
It’s just that simple.

You do understand that expenses accrue EVERY day to run a site such as this? And, in a very real sense, it belongs to all of us and we should support it to the extent we can.
I agree. There are several things going on,
Good freepers who have run off because of rigid boundaries and expectations.
Good freepers who used to post and give tell me that they still visit but do not participate.
A number of our stalwarts have sickened and died
And because of the negative, hateful towards religion, embarrassing and sometimes racist posts, and lack of ability to introduce new sites and ideas, which we did before, we attract little new and young freepers.
I try to introduce every like minded person I know to FR and only one, as far as I know, has stayed. The rest were turned off by the abrasiveness, attacks on the new ones, and general thoughtless and frankly uninteresting posts.
The site doesn’t have all the bells and whistles anymore, like when you could turn off different streams and only leave a few running. It was quite the site.
Now? I come because I am used to it. I see so much potential here. I love the site and the people. But I am not the future.
So we are slowly dying.

And those people widened our net and influence by posting at our site and mixing up conservative thoughts and peoples. Any one remember the Conservative Ring?
A lot of people who were for Romney in order to get rid of Obama were run off/quit, or were banned. Then management said it was okay to support Romney when the FReepathon dried up. Go figure.
It could be the economy hit our members hard as it has everyone else or our number of active members could be going down or it could be a combination of both.
I said Romney compared to Obama was better, but he was not my best choice and nobody was trying to run me off.
I’m tired of the GOPe candidates and will only go with the ones I want from now on.
If some putz goes against Hillary in the main election then God help us, she will get elected.

Good for you. Plenty of others left for one reason or other.
It was very detrimental.
I’ve been around his forum since 1998. Remember saying something positive about Romney once and having Jimbo go off on me big time. Still contribute on a regular basis ... typically the January & July Freepathon. Remember when Freepathons wrapped up in three weeks, a month tops ... not anymore.
Only been here since 2004.
