He occasionally says something uncouth, but he is well liked by the people of Davao City, including the foreigners living there. He does not tolerate any foolishness from the criminal element.
During the lag lag bala scandal, he told any participating airport employees, if they were caught, that they would eat the evidence. I believe he meant it to.
