BRUGES, Belgium -- The idea may have seemed mad, but after all, the beer is called the Madman of Bruges - or Brugse Zot in Dutch.
And with the help of crowdfunding efforts among some 400 Madman fans, the dream of building a beer pipeline through the Belgian city of Bruges is becoming real.
"You have to be a bit crazy - like the beer - to do such a project. I just had the money for that, and I liked it. So I went crazy and gave the money to the brewery," said local restaurant owner Philippe Le Loup, who poured some $11,000 into the pipeline.

There was a Schlitz brewery near where I grew up. It was a novelty in the formerly dry south, and plant tours were popular. I recall that they had a water fountain converted to beer.
I hope terrorists don’t target the pipeline.

Like a pipe dream in Venezuela. But, Venezuela ran out of beer.

If you go to the trouble to dig a trench to plumb in a line, lay in about a dozen lines. Very minimal extra cost.
(Like multiple fiber pairs, you techies ...)
And plumb some to my house, ... , like fiber, you techies.
Forget these billion dollar bullet trains (I can go to the store and buy my own bullets thank you) They need beer pipelines.
Beer tap systems require regular maintenance.
I wonder how they will do that; perhaps multi lines so there is no down time.
Sanitizing that thing is going to be a big job!
