It was obvious to me as soon as I saw the defector laying out a Muslim mat in his garage.
I just finished watching season 1, not even an hour ago, and with all due respect the defector was clearly the bad guy. They made an effort to show the “why” of his treason, but made no claim that it wasn’t treason.
It was good enough to move on to season 2, and like most shows I expect it to go downhill fast.
