It is believed to be a grass carp, a freshwater species found in many parts of Asia and America.
But the reason for the creature's bizarre head-shape isn't known.
Thankfully, the fisherman took pity on it and released the fish back into the water.
It's far from the first bizarre creature to emerge from the water.
