Not to speak poorly of the dead but, with those ears why did he need a plane?
Rip kid, now you can play soccer in heaven leagues.
His story was broadcast on either the CBS Evening News or ABC Evening News a few weeks ago.
The young man called someone....maybe his family....and said the plane was coming apart and he was scared.
I never heard of him either until the story of his disappearance was on national TV here in America. Nonetheless, what happen to him is indeed tragic.
Oh my gosh. What a sad and very tragic story. Thanks for the info.

With that kind of money he could have hired a better plane. Do they not have Netjets over there?
What about Glenn Miller?
Big doings in Europe. Talented kid and Chelsea (fans) was anticipating his arrival. RIP Sala
“Emiliano Sala”
Hispanic superstar signer who only became famous after being dead, like Celena or whoever she is, perhaps?
He was one the world’s best strikers and he’d just been signed to play for Cardiff for millions of dollars when he flew across the Channel in an old, rickety, poorly-maintained Piper that was being flown by an amateur pilot not licensed to ferry passengers.
It’s a real tragedy to the team, the city and his family.

“What about Glenn Miller?”
Stories vary from plane lost in the channel, augering in at a bomb test range in England, to dying from a massive coronary in a Paris brothel.
