Mob rule has often been described as two wolves and a sheep deciding what's for supper. A pure democracy is an example of mob rule. Our Founding Fathers designed our government to resist mob rule.
Based on my experience serving as a public school teacher for nearly 40 years, my study of our U.S. Constitution, involvement in local, state, and national politics within several states for over 25 years, reading, watching, and listening to a variety of writers, radio and television commentators/pundits, I have formulated an opinion:
Reflecting on the years since our most recent Presidential election, I perceive a mob attempting to rule our Constitutional Republic.
In mathematics and science there are certain standards that must be acknowledged and agreed upon for calculations, data collection, and analysis to be repeatedly consistent.
Robert's Rules of Order is the standard for facilitating meetings, discussions, and making group decisions. Acknowledging, respecting, and implementing a set of rules allows for meetings to run smoothly.
Our society seems to no longer respect the aforementioned standards as demonstrated by numerous politicians on local, state, and national levels.
The lack of acknowledgement of these standards by our political leaders has spilled over into society, negatively affecting the way in which people interact with each other.
Our children observe these pitiful examples of (or lack thereof) respect for mutual agreement regarding standards, the rule of law, and basic etiquette. They then accept these horrid behaviors as acceptable. Hence the disrespect displayed in this video:

Monica Conyers apparently agreed to "debate" the students.
Rule number one: adults do not debate with children.
Rule number two: if an adult chooses to debate with a child, that adult has already lost any semblance of authority.
The disrespect displayed in the video was by the adult. NOT the students. (My copy and paste did not adequately work.)

Thank Obama.

Part of the problem is the panoply of laws passed by federal government, states, counties, cities, etc. Law enforcement is overwhelmed and cannot possible enforce them all so they choose not to enforce some laws, thus promoting disrespect for all laws. Someone also observed that there are so many laws that the average person commits a felony or two every day. Ignorance of the law used to be no excuse, but a good case can be made for this argument. No one can be expected to be knowledgeable about all laws, another reason for disrespect of the law.
I will say unequivocally right now, if the republicans allow this impeachment to go forward, I will never, never vote again. Why? So that our vote can be overturned? Eight years of anarchy under Obama then three years of chaos because the Democrats didnt win. Well, they will win come hell or high water, they always do.
Well, they will win come hell or high water, they always do.

NOT always!
Chin up. We got this!
Think about what those young girls were saying to a city councilwoman.
The children were RIGHT.
The, excuse me, affirmative action-age, adult female presented as a bully to the students. Then she was put in her place by logic exhibited by a 13-year-old.
No one can be expected to be knowledgeable about all laws

Agreed!!
Exactly why there exist way too many laws, especially the income tax code!
The expression came from the book: Three Felonies A Day by Alan Dershowitz.

Lawlessness will abound in the end times Jesus said. Make their laws useless said Karl Marx. It’s one of the planks of the communist manifesto. What we’re observing is a soft and not so soft communist revolution occurring in the U.S. No mystery when you wonder why all of this crazy chit is going on.
Lawyers elected to a legislature have an automictic conflict of interest. In their own self-interest they will make laws that benefit lawyers first and occasionally the people.
After 200 years of their subversion we now have a government that is “Of the lawyers, for the lawyer and by the lawyers”.
Humanism is a philosophical and ethical stance that emphasizes the value and agency of human beings, individually and collectively, and generally prefers critical thinking and evidence over acceptance of dogma or superstition.
Humanism replacing belief in a creator is the ultimate downfall of civilized mankind.
Very interesting but Dershowitz is not the author. Dershowitz only wrote the forward. The author is Harvey Silverglate.
I am located in an ultra liberal state (Washington) and am beginning to feel that this election may be a watershed event where people say to hell with liberal doctrine.
I could be wrong, but there are signs. If this is true, then there could be an electoral sea change about to happen that will foreshadow the 2020 elections.
Thank You.
I didn’t know that.
I was not aware of the book until you mentioned it so I went to the link to check it out. I was just surprised Id never heard of this book when you said AD wrote it. Anyway thank you for posting about the book. I want to check it out.
