It took a while to get to the point at which I forgot all about it, but being sober all the time and not hungover EVAH is downright wonderful.
Note of Warning to All Who Plan to Quit Drinking:
TV and movies are not as good as you thought they were when you were drinking. In fact, they are downright awful. The only TV and movies I find worth watching are British mysteries.;-)
I quit all alcohol on 1/9/11, and life is much better without it.
If you broaden you horizons, you can include Australian mysteries
It’s hard to top Endeavor.
The best I found are: Foyle’s War - nine seasons (available on Amazon prime).

Everytime I got drunk I would break out in handcuffs.
Amen - stopped 31 years ago....lots of things stopped being so fun/funny, but the important things took on a new life...
I’ll take up the slack - time for a breakfast bourbon.
