Robert Conrad, the athletic, two-fisted actor who starred as Secret Service agent James West and did his own spectacular stunts on the 1960s futuristic CBS Western The Wild Wild West, has died. He was 84.
"He lived a wonderfully long life and while the family is saddened by his passing, he will live forever in their hearts," family spokesman Jeff Ballard told People magazine. No other details of his death were immediately available.

I thought it was water. Never did get the commercial.

I did too! I remember watching Baa Baa Black Sheep with my family- back when my parents still liked each other. Brings back fond memories of my childhood. A male cousin of mine tried to emulate his “I dare you to knock this off” with me. I missed the battery and took out his nose :0)
I also remember him from “Battle of the Network Stars”, I recall he took it pretty seriously, too.
Loved it; Conrad and Ross Martin were great, a western version of the James Bond movies. On for four seasons, taken off even though its ratings remained very high bc Congress was concerned about tv violence (very mild by comparison to the crazy junk on now).
Sad, he was a fixture near where I grew up in CA...he had a home at the Bear Valley ski resort and had a plane at the Calaveras Co. airport.
Yep, I remember concerns about TV violence back in those days.
The “standards” of today, what with homosexuality and other objectionable content on TV, which would not have been allowed back in those days, provides quite a contrast between then and now.

Wow. Third one came fast too. 103, 91, 84.. lots of studio time spent by the three of them... and some awful interesting parties too.
All left an imprint in their own way.
Dr. Migalito Loveless, forgot about him. Good memories of a well-written and produced show.
