In a rather bizarre move, NASA has recruited a British priest to prepare the religious for the discovery of alien life as space agencies claim to be getting closer to discovering evidence that life exists outside of planet earth reports The Times.
Reverend Dr. Andrew Davison, a priest and theology professor at the University of Cambridge, is among 24 theologians who participated in a program sponsored by NASA at the space agency’s Center for Theological Inquiry (CTI) at Princeton University. The theologians attempted to assess how major religions would react to news of alien life being found.
A NASA expert said [to the U.K.] The Times: “We may not discover life for 100 years. Or we may discover it next week.”

How are we going to "re-write" what God wrote in the first place?

If we find algae on Europa atheists will go into a spin and believers will yawn. NASA looses its sense of direction again.

No re-writing is necessary; there’s no conflict with the Genesis creation account. If there’s extraterrestrial life, God created that, too.
Many of the American Indians said “It’s easy for us to believe in your Jesus, because we already believe in your God.”
If God created aliens, he wouldn’t have abandoned them. Although it is possible they abandoned Him.
If aliens exist, would Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross pay for their sins as well?
Personally, I doubt aliens exist, but scripture is silent on the matter. We do know God has other creations. There are the 4 living beasts in the throne room. He created angels.
But scripture seems indicates that the universe was created for man, and that the end of the universe and creation of a new heavens and a new earth is also tied to man.
God could create aliens but their history would have to be coordinated with man’s. Which is entirely possible.

On top of that, Genesis (Gen 6, to be exact) is full of clues about “extraterrestrial” involvement with humans.
No need to rewrite genesis.
Genesis already told us what aliens are.

The “weeds” Jesus spoke of in Matthew 13 as a sign of the end of the age are already hiding amongst us.
They are the evil sowed in our field.
Hope this priest is a good exorcist as they attach and hold on pretty tight.
They have no empathy or compassion as they are only half a soul and know that they cannot grow to survive in the new era. Thus they are now making their last hurrah.
By many accounts, "alien" life has already discovered us.

Alien life is a moving goalpost for secularist camp,
A couple of centuries ago, around the time of the founding of the nation, it wasn’t uncommon for people to assert that if there wasn’t live everywhere it would disprove the existence of God.
Then over time it became the opposite.
I’d be more impressed if they could find non-idiot-life in Washington DC.
