I guess we can look forward to Taibei then.
Taipei = “North Taiwan” in Chinese;
“Peking” = “North Capital” in Chinese, now rendered as Beijing.

The -yama ending means “Mount” in Japanese, no?
People still say “Mount Fujiyama” and on Ninja Warrior, “Mount Midoriyama.”
