The Fort Sill army post in Oklahoma took to Twitter to share a video of a rocket system being used to shoot out candy to a group of children who gleefully ran to get their hands on their share of the sweets.
"How else would you expect us to give children candy on Halloween? FIRE MISSION!!!" the military base captioned the video.
One Twitter user wrote: "Am I the only one who finds this grim and utterly tone deaf... a weapon system designed to rain utter carnage (including cluster munition with hundreds of bomblets or tens of thousands of shrapnels) is used to shoot candies at children?"
Another added: "I'm not sure if this is super cute or super twisted," while a third chimed in: "Everything that’s wrong with America in a single tweet."

Almost as disgusting as a sports “mascot” firing T-shirts at the crowd with a bazooka.
“If I had a rocket launcher....”
I can think of some things the MSM has tried to sell as “normal” that are much more “twisted” than this.
Love that tune.

bttt!
Give it a break. No harm, no foul.
I thought that was kind of weird too.
Plus they had kids racing to beat each other to the candy on what looked like wet concrete. I was thinking that’s not going to end well. But they stopped the video before there were skinned knees.
Love those RMOG things. Good stuff.
Thank GOD these wimps were around during the Berlin Blockade when Air Force Pilots were dropping candies to German Children.
The feminization of America is to come to an end.
How can you recall all this kinda stuff?
Bruce Cockburn, actually.
Whoever at what ad agency created those ads should have been promoted partner.
They are just upset the soldiers were not drag queens and the launcher was filled with candy and not sex toys.
What happens if a Twix travelling at 3000 feet per second hits a child?
Maybe a gummy bear would cause less damage?
Enquiring minds want to know....
I think it’s great and F anyone who doesn’t.
Get over it Karens.
