Agree completely. Needs to be a lot looser (his radio show is certainly loose and freewheeling!). An equally-witty recurring guest or two, maybe a monologue focused on the day’s news delivered in his usual cynical fashion, and, heck, why not take a couple of calls ala Larry King?
The occasional cameo by his “best girl” even.
That would be playing to his strengths, and a lot of fun.
Yes, yes...you see exactly what is wrong with the format they has placed Chris in. Agree BEST GIRL needs to be there on occasion or call in. They have a gem BUT have ruined his chances with the completely wrong venue.
