A good size Ken Onion Leek is always in my pocket. Not costly or TactiCool but very deployable.

At my age, if it comes down to knives, I will just sit down, bend over, put my head between my legs and kiss my arse goodby.

Weird article - seems to just be a sales pitch for four alright knives but not particularly useful.

Prefer my Gerber folding knife for daily use and my Marine Corps issue Kabar for heavy duty stuff.

Mental masturbation. Get a Spyderco, don’t clip it to your pocket. It’s there when you need it.

And anyone who uses the word "Tactical" is full of shit.

But I think you knew this, and are just trying to see what responses you'd get. 8~)

Nope, not one of those would I buy, nor carry if someone gave me one as a gift. Looks like they are picks by someone who never really used a knife for anything serious.

I've got a CRKT Fire Spark, 4", assisted thumb open blade in black. It's a really nice practical size knife. 100% legal to carry in my state. I've had it a long time and can't remember what it cost but it was very reasonable.

I carry a halberd. It’s the only way to be sure.

Walmart sells Coleman folding camping kives for about $4. They work well in the garden. I do take it with me when I go out, but try not to go places where I would need to pull it out and use it in a “Tactical” manner.

I've had a knife on me every day for decades - deployed and statside. Spyderco *anything.* I have a few, but partial to the Paramilitary for EDC:

Article needs a bigger picture of knife specs. This has very good info on what choices there are to make an informed decision.

1555T1 Kershaw with assist. Small enough to keep in pocket 3” blade with four inch handle. Can open quickly and small enough to not be noticed.

My favorite knife is a kukri. It chops and splits wood better than any hatchet or even an axe. It's great for any camp project like making tent stakes, shaping poles, whatever. And it will slice a roast paper thin. I never butchered a carcass with it but I suspect it would be awesome for the job.

You could use it to defend yourself too I suppose. Gurkhas do.
