I know that a lot of “trans” people haven’t had the surgery. But I think it ought to be a requirement — if the guy wants to be in the women’s prison, that’s fine but the surgery comes first. Maybe he’ll change his mind. And if he goes forward, he won’t be quite such a threat.
Maybe the other inmates could provide that service. If the word got around in prisons that trans rapists would end up getting their jewels cut off with a shiv, they my be less likely to want to be in a woman’s prison. If in a woman’s prison already,they would think twice about misbehaving.
Unfortunately when it cones to prisoners, the government is on the hook for the “care,” hormones, surgeries, and all.
