They're complaining because a UMAP shows genetic similarity: so that map shows that those culturally identified as European, East Asian, African, etc., are more closely related to one another genetically.

We knew races before genetics.

And races change. Irish and English, for example, were separate races. Or a “black” American may be 80% European. How is that the same race as a South East African?

Of course there are genes associated with traits we use to define race. They are a minute percentage of the total number of genes we have.

Given this, the pc woke liberal cries are still absurd and irrational.

The left define and try to pinpoint and enforce race more than anyone.

To them it’s a surrogate for certain Marxist constructs that can be applied to the US and the world.

There is a religion that there is no difference in any attribute between sex and/or race. Any differences can only be explained by sexism/racism.

It's not like political correctness creeped in to genetics recently. This was the first field where PC reigned supreme. There is this term called "race realism" which if believed by you, labels you as a racist.

Imagine that believing in something real is a sign of bigotry.

But then those who believe that there are two sexes have also been labeled as bigots.

My daughter and her husband did a DNA test just for the hell of it. The results for her were pretty much what the wife and I told her although the Native American was higher than what I thought the wife had which surprised her too.

Democrats have led the way in calling anyone and everyone a racist for hardly any reason at all. Democrats, the people who segregated the races in America and now the authors of raced-based preferences. Those are the people who accuse everyone else of racism.

My own adventures in DNA testing showed me what an absolute mutt I am.

I am extremely skeptical of the skewed, biased, and "politically correct" interpretations of the test findings.
