What's laughable is how John Kirby only wants to talk about the United States' response to the attack and the missiles we shot down (and armament we spent).

He doesn't want to talk about our diplomatic failure to prevent the attack in the first place.

It's the classic story of the person who wants credit for putting out the fire that they failed to prevent in the first place.
