Large wedge tornado...

Due to the size and width of wedge tornadoes, they are thought of as the largest and most menacing tornado type. It is so broad that at first glance it's not recognized as being a tornado. The base, or part of the storm that touches the ground, of a wedge tornado can be a mile or more wide, and often looks like low-hanging dark clouds to passersby. These "fat" storms often bear the lion's share of blame among tornado survivors, because they seem to strike without warning.

As if they weren't already difficult to see, wedges can also be "rain-wrapped." When this occurs, curtains of nearby rainfall encircle the tornado funnel, veiling the twister and further lowering its visibility.

Yesterday was “only” an enhanced risk so it over performed (3 out of 5)

There is a moderate risk today (4/5)

A possible issue may be if storms fire in the morning reducing instability for the late afternoon / evening storms when other parameters are maxed out

I will start a new thread around noon central

Oh geez. My daughter was in Manhattan, Kansas this past week and bad weather forecasted for the entire time she was there. After viewing that film, I am so glad she’s back home and safe. That scares the bejezuz out of me.

The videos I’ve seen of some of these are the best I’ve ever seen, but what monsters!!!!!!!!

The size and power behind them is un fathomable. So many poor people have had their lives destroyed.
