Very interesting so he basically admits he messed up when he let the woke brigade take over Twitter 1.0 (and his baby) where they mass banned everyone and where it was intolerable for most people.

Elon Musk saved that platform at huge expense.

When you build a platform with agency money, you have to do what they say.

Didn’t see that coming.

Musk is a great man.

Their reign of terror was something straight from a Soviet satellite state. You had to be careful what you said on there or you’d be gone.

Musk really liberated it at a cost of 44 billion. Amazing.

I loved his comment about continuing to run the company after firing 90% of the employees - he said “It turns out that if you don’t do spend as much time doing social engineering you can get a lot more done, with fewer employees” (Or words to that effect)

I’d concur, but I’m still banned on Twitter.

And I wonder how many other conservatives still are...

According to this March 2024 story in Motley Fool:

So it looks like Dorsey has been playing two sides of the fence... and maybe he's putting his competing solution on the backburner for now.

X is standing the test of time, and is bound to get stronger as the country recovers from Bidung and freedom of speech is preserved.

That logic can (should) be applied across the board in all businesses and organizations!

~~~
Most business owners are pragmatic. They are going to take the path of least resistance for all things that don’t directly effect revenue. The leftists groups perfected corporate quasi-terrorism. Nobody wants mobs of angry woke goons protesting outside their businesses, and worse, their homes (yes, they did this).
Elon appears to be cut from a different cloth, but he also recognized that the free speech issue was bigger than cold clean business models. He bought twitter based on principles more than profits, although I’m sure he had no intention of sacrificing the latter.
People like Dorsey probably didn’t even think it was possible to reverse the wokists moles and leaches inside twitter. He wasn’t even going to try, because it also appeared powerful government entities were aligned with the NGOs. Musk showed him it could happen.
