I’d hate to be hiking the Pacific Crest Trail right about now.
Can anyone say clude-seeding?
After Dubai we can only wonder as the truth will be hidden from us.
It’ll be easy for them to spill out the Climate Change alert as they can seed the clouds prior ! And the SMS will hide that fact.
cloud = clude
sorry
Why would they want to do that when they get more control out of a drought?
Just like 2023.
Glo-Bull warming no doubt.
Anyway, who says cold is better than warm?
California should stop dumping rainwater and snow melt into the ocean and leave Klamath River dams, Owens Valley, and ... alone.
BUT-—THE USPS wants to move all mail sorting operations from RENO to SACRAMENTO.
TRANSPORT MAIL BOTH DIRECTIONS ON I-80 BY TRUCK.
DUMB & DUMBER
I’m not understanding the report. This might be a nice late season snowfall but definitely not the largest single-day for the entire season. There were some days with 6-10 feet forecast in some areas.
Well, when you look at the scarcity of postal service qualified workers here in Reno, it is not surprise.
[[sorry]]
That’s Oclay
Same in Colorado.. to move mail from one western slope town to another thru Denver / no longer thru Grand Junction.
Uses more trucks, drivers, fuel, time ( adds days), and .. ~look for the Union label.
I take it Al Gore is visiting the area?
True - Blizzard warning, avalanche watch as storm packing up to 10 feet of snow moves into Sierra Nevada... February 29, 2024..

Fifty permitted PCT hikers per calendar day, began their hike starting on March 1st at the US-MX border, heading north at a 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30 mile a day pace, continuing to leave the southern US border at 50 hikers a day, through May 31st.
The snow level is currently estimated to be at 7,800’ to 8,000’ in elevation, throughout the Sierras.
In one 400-mile stretch in the Sierras, hikers will cross 9 passes at or above 10,000’ in elevation.
Cottonwood Pass 11,140’
Forester Pass 13,153’
Glen Pass 11,926’
Pinchot Pass 12,107’
Mather Pass 12,100’
Muir Pass 11,955’
Selden Pass 10,826’
Silver Pass 10,748’
Donoghue Pass 11,066’
Snow? Don’t they mean Dangerous fallout from man made global warming?
Not this year... you might be thinking about last year’s single day record snowfall, or a snowfall total for a storm over several days this year, but 26” is what the record keepers are calling for the single greatest amount of snowfall in one day.
I love to follow a few people each year who are hiking the PCT, CDT, and AT, on the PCT once they get to Kennedy Meadows at the 700-mile mark, they enter the southern sierras, for the next couple of weeks it has to be torture and treacherous to get thru all that in a heavy snow year.
I had a good friend get lost in a snowstorm hiking the PCT & die - hope any hikers out there are safe.
