How does a worm get into your brain? Through your ear? Nose? I’ve never heard tell of such a thing. An earthworm? Good grief....this sounds crazy.

Generally thru the nose and sinus. Often when swimming or bathing in sketchy water.

I have a cousin whose son, while traveling in SE Asia, went for a swim in the Mekong. Parasitic worms into his brain. Took the docs a while to figure out what was causing his illness.
