Jimmy Carter's grandson has revealed the 99-year-old former president is 'coming to the end'.

The Georgia peanut farmer and oldest living president has been in hospice care for more than a year after deciding to forego any further medical treatment.

Since then his beloved wife Rosalynn has passed away and he has been living at home with regular visits from his family.

Jason Carter said at a mental health forum on Tuesday: '(My grandfather) is doing OK.

'He has been in hospice, as you know, for almost a year and a half now, and he really is, I think, coming to the end that, as I’ve said before, there’s a part of this faith journey that is so important to him, and there’s a part of that faith journey that you only can live at the very end and I think he has been there in that space.'

anyone know how they do secret service in this kind of circumstance. If he is in some kind of facility what happens to secret service?

I’m glad that Carter, gentle soul that he is, lived long enough to not die as the worst president in American history.

it does say he spends his days at his home. dont know about his nights.

But the question still stands if a POTUS is in a nursing home

Jimmy Carter is a good man that I thoroughly disagreed with. And that’s more than I can say about most politicians these days.

Biden isn’t worthy to shine Jimmy’s shoes.

Amazing timing, a big democrat funeral just in time for the
election.

Democrats don’t like Carter. He and the Clintons despise each other.

I don’t think that Carter is evil, just incompetent.

Carter’s life was marred only by the time he spent in public office.

History has a way of painting some people in a better light. We forget that he was a Jew hater who was pivotal at bringing us to this point in regards to the Middle East. I guess it has much to do with his Habitat for Humanity work, which was a PR campaign.

"...after more than a year in hospice care."

I don't know about ex-Presidents, but regular people are given approximately three months to die in hospice care, or they will make arrangements to move you out.

He also brought in the Saul Alinsky crowd to our government. His entire cabinet had “Rules For Radicals” distributed amongst them.

A lifetime of incompetence?

No; he has deep-seated bigotry.

Carter was horrible. Though he lived long enough to realize he will be forever known as the 2nd worst President in US history, he was absolutely horrible for this country.
