GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- Donald Trump is making a campaign stop in Grand Junction on Tuesday and that means all hands on deck.
Law enforcement is preparing and the secret service is in town as Trump will land at the Grand Junction Regional Airport to speak to the Western Slope community ahead of Wednesday's debate in Las Vegas.
"We really hope the entire community shares out excitement and our passion,” said Kraig Andrews Chairman of the Republican Party.
More than 7,000 people are already registered to attend the rally.
"When you show up tomorrow there will be people telling you where to park how to park... we will have volunteering literally lining the whole way to walk up and tell you exactly where you need to be," Andrews said.
Over a hundred volunteers with the Republican Party will guide attendees to the airplane hangar and through security.
"Not unlike what you see at the airport when you go through a TSA check point. All weapons are prohibited that mean no fire arms no knives. Everything that is coming into the site will be checked,” said Kerry O’Grady, the Special Agent in Charge with the U.S. Secret Service.
The airport will still be fully functioning and open to the public. All flights will remain on schedule, according to O’Grady.
There is limited seated and guests should be prepared to stand.
"We hope the entire community shares our excitement and getting him here, show him how much western Colorado appreciated him taking the time to stop in and see us,” said Andrews.
The secret service said only people with official tickets will be let in. If you have registered online make sure to bring your printed ticket to the door. Organizers add attendees should be prepared for crowds and heavy traffic.
The program is expected to get underway at 3 p.m. Oct. 17 at West Star Aviation.
Doors will open at noon. To get tickets, you have to go through the Trump campaign’s website.

Sounds so exciting, wish I lived there just so I could go! Also, did you hear on RSBN tonight that they have brought in a separate camera team to do something for Trump after the debate on Wednesday? The host speaking said he can’t tell us what they are doing, but it’s big surprise. And he said although he has not seen the material, he’s heard about it and it’s going to be big! What it could be I don’t know but I’ll be watching debate and follow up reporting on RSBN.
More people are turned away from a Trump event than show up for a Hillary one.
