Someone will get fired for this. Unbelievably, an actually pretty good report on Nightline. Following the troops, from homefront to just began the invasion. Now in commercial.

Thanks, I didn't realize that.
Interesting how at one point 1/3rd of the amphibs in the convoy were out of service(and troops doubled up in the others).
Those Marine are all class. A portrait of America's finest in action.

It and CNN was all I had during the first Gulf War.Thanks for the heads up.I watched every inbed report during this war "live" that lack of sleep would allow.I didn't care which channel it was on.

I know what you mean about lack of sleep. Some of my favorite reporters did not show up untill late at night. My most favorite became David Bloom. It just could have not been the same without him.

"Such a sad loss."
Yes indeed. MSNBC had a "Tribute to David Bloom" special on shortly after he died. It missed the first segment, but recorded the rest. So I like to watch it sometimes. It has a lot of footage of his coverage. I kind of cherrish it. I doubt that tribute will ever be aired again.

Tonights nightline was good in that Koppel actualy came across as supporting the war by stating that things are better in Iraq now. Did anyone see this tonight?
