I have no idea who he is, but Kasra Naji might be one of the biggest asshat's I've ever heard of. What a total loser.

CNN always sympathizes with America's enemies.
Since the Mullahs are the enemy, they like them.

He's probably one of many who still can't understand why the "Elite Republican Guard" and the much-feared "Arab street" in Iraq couldn't defeat the "demoralized" American army. And he really can't comprehend why the people of Baghdad cheered as Saddam's statues were pulled over, after all 100% of the eligible voters had unanimously re-elected him president.

Is this the same guy who wrote about CNN's complicity with Saddam Hussein so they could have a bureau in Iraq?

He's the CNN guy who submits his "news" reports to the Iranian Secret Police for censorship/editorial changes before transmitting them back to Atlanta, so the communist inspired progressive liberal socialist dogma can be broadcast.
And they complain about Limbaugh, and Hannity.

after all 100% of the eligible voters had unanimously re-elected him president. It reminds me of Nic Robertson's reports for CNN before Saddam was taken out. The guy is a full-on apologist for Saddam Hussein.

CNN will probably suggest that Jimmy Carter go over there to certify that it was an open election. I'm sure he would love to go, after all if he had 1. not turned his back on the Shah; and 2.actually stood up to the Soviets when they invaded Afghanistan, we probably wouldn't have had most of the problems we've had in the Middle East for the last 25 years.

Obviously a repeat of what CNN did under Saddam. You toe the line, you get paid a salary, nobody shoots you. So, what do a few lies matter?
Or all lies, all the time?

It's the "Clintoon News Network" -- ideology uber alles. There's a reason why I don't ever watch it...

""Why Iran's Reformists Lost""
I'll answer this in one sentence...
Because it was a sham election!
To: Texas_Dawg
"I met a lot of people in the past few days who said to me that even if thousands of reformists had not been barred from standing in the elections, they still would not have voted for them."
Actually, this is probably accurate. The Iranian people had already started deciding not to vote before the reformists were opposed and walked out. It helped to encourage more people to follow the boycott, but the word had already been spreading that people shouldn't vote.
The People are against BOTH groups.

YES
To: nuconvert
Actually, this is probably accurate. I understand that, but he is implying that they would not have voted for them because they would have voted for the hardliners... or at least don't really see them as that bad or mind that much that they "won".

I'm surprised they didn't find a way to blame it on Bush.
