Has anyone commented on Clarke's irrational animus towards the President?
Guess the media is too busy talking up his so called republican credentials.

Has anyone commented on Clarke's irrational animus towards the President? Guess the media is too busy talking up his so called republican credentials. I was thinking the same thing as you. Not to mention he said about us needing to understand why the terrorists hate us -- what self-respecting Republican would ever say that! He supposedly claims he voted for Bush over Gore -- well, why would a "terrorism expert" who said that Clinton made it his No. 1 issue not vote for such a person's successor? Geez, this guy is just like a freeper troll -- his claims of being Republican don't pass even a simple smell test.

Clarke in 2002 knocked down the idea that there was irrational animus toward the Clinton team on the part of the Bushies that blinded them to the necessity of strong counterterrorism. He offered himself, kept on as a holdover from the Clinton administration, as a refutation: "That doesn't sound like animus against the previous team to me."
And here the Bush team is do some criticism, for not recognizing what a creature this slimeball was. Should have shown the door on inauguration day, along with Tenant and Mineta.
