She controls a lot of the 527 money. She'll use it to help him if she wants--she won't--and save it for herself in 2008 if she thinks she'll run then .

I agree with Morris - he said on H&C that if he doesn't put Hillary on, Kerry will be pulling her knives out of his back for the remainder of the election.

I can guarantee you Hillary has a pile of knives. That's the way she operates. If she's not on, watch for an October surprise - and I don't think it will come from the Republicans - although it may be set up to look that way.

I didn't give them credit for being this subtle. My take is that the threat was more direct --You want DNC Funding for your campaign, you take Hillary, Period!

If Hillary becomes VP, she will demand that she runs all of the cabinet departments, or Kerry will have only one-term, and a miserable one at that. She, in reality, would be the "shadow president".

She'll see that he doesn't. In the meantime, in public, she'll be supportive and get extra exposure for herself.

He is too insecure and she is too charismatic --believe it or not--for him to put her on the ticket. She only makes him look even deader than he already is.

Is it really Clinton's book ("A Sinking Legacy: the Presidency of William Jefferson Clinton") that is supposedly going to be garnering attention for months, or the funny things that will happen as he is out and about, touring to promote it?

Your post raises a question: is there a title to Bill's memoirs? Wasn't there a few FR threads from last year which suggested titles? "On Festering Pond" was one I remember. "The Turgid Presidency" may have been another.

It may be time for another round of title suggestions.
