KERRY'S GLASS HOUSE
Kerry Was For Negative Ads Before He Was Against Them
___________________________________

"'Americans need a real conversation over our future,' Kerry said in a speech at a school in Spring Green, Wisconsin. 'What they don't need is all these trumped up advertisements, they just make people curl up and walk away,' added the Massachusetts senator. 'I'm calling them "misleadisments,"' Kerry said of the adverts. 'It's all scare tactics…'" ("Bush Sharpens Jabs Against Kerry Ahead Of Debates," Agence France Presse, 9/28/04)

KERRY'S COMMENTS NEWS TO KERRY CAMPAIGN

Kerry-Edwards 2004, "Doesn't Get It," 30 Seconds, Sept. 27, 2004

ü      "There he goes again. George Bush said Iraq was 'mission accomplished.' 16 months later, he still doesn't get it. Today: over 1,000 US soldiers dead, kidnappings, even beheadings of Americans. Still Bush has no plan what to do in Iraq. How can you solve a problem when you can't see it? …" (George Washington University, Democracy In Action Website, www.gwu.edu/%7Eaction/2004/ads04/kerrads.html, Accessed 9/28/04)

Kerry-Edwards 2004, "Despicable," 30 Seconds, Sept. 26, 2004

ü      "'Despicable politics.' 'An Un-American way to campaign.' The latest Bush/Cheney attacks against John Kerry. George Bush and Dick Cheney are using the 'appalling' and 'divisive' strategy of playing politics with the war on terror. A strategy that 'undermines the efforts … to combat terrorists in America' and puts George Bush's 'own ambition ahead of the national good.'…" (George Washington University, Democracy In Action Website, www.gwu.edu/%7Eaction/2004/ads04/kerrads.html, Accessed 9/28/04)

Kerry-Edwards 2004, "Right Track," 30 Seconds, Sept. 24, 2004

Kerry-Edwards 2004, "Different Story," 30 Seconds, Sept. 23, 2004

ü      "George Bush keeps telling us things are getting better in Iraq. The facts tell a different story. Terrorists are pouring into the country. Attacks on U.S. forces are increasing every month. A thousand American soldiers have died. …" (George Washington University, Democracy In Action Website, www.gwu.edu/%7Eaction/2004/ads04/kerrads.html, Accessed 9/28/04)

Kerry-Edwards 2004, "Juvenile," 30 Seconds, Sept. 22, 2004

ü      "1,000 US casualties. 2 Americans beheaded just this week. The Pentagon admits terrorists are pouring into Iraq. In the face of the Iraq quagmire, George Bush's answer is to run a juvenile and tasteless attack ad. …" (George Washington University, Democracy In Action Website, www.gwu.edu/%7Eaction/2004/ads04/kerrads.html, Accessed 9/28/04)

Kerry-Edwards 2004, "Uninsured," 30 Seconds, Sept. 21, 2004

ü      "The Bush health care record: Health insurance costs up 64 percent. Medicare premiums up by 56 percent. The Bush health care plan: Raise insurance premiums for 4 out of 5 small businesses. Over a million more Americans would lose their health insurance coverage. …" (George Washington University, Democracy In Action Website, www.gwu.edu/%7Eaction/2004/ads04/kerrads.html, Accessed 9/28/04)

Kerry-Edwards 2004, "Defend America," 30 Seconds, Sept. 19, 2004

ü      "200 billion dollars – that's what we're spending in Iraq because George Bush chose to go it alone. Now the president tells us we don't have the resources to take care of health care and education here at home. That's wrong. …" (George Washington University, Democracy In Action Website, www.gwu.edu/%7Eaction/2004/ads04/kerrads.html, Accessed 9/28/04)

A $200 billion dollar bill for Iraq. Lost jobs. Rising health care costs. …" (George Washington University, Democracy In Action Website, www.gwu.edu/%7Eaction/2004/ads04/kerrads.html, Accessed 9/28/04)

Kerry-Edwards 2004, "Not True," 30 Seconds, Sept. 16, 2004

ü      "… The Bush record: A $139 billion giveaway to the big drug companies. A 17 percent increase in Medicare premiums. Five million more Americans without health insurance. George W. Bush. Wrong on health care. Wrong for America." (George Washington University, Democracy In Action Website, www.gwu.edu/%7Eaction/2004/ads04/kerrads.html, Accessed 9/28/04)

Kerry-Edwards 2004, "Portsmouth," 30 Seconds, Sept. 10, 2004

ü      "In 2000, George Bush never bothered to come to Portsmouth. Now, he's here promising to take 'the side of working families.' Obviously you don't understand.

An ad is only negative if it's aimed at liberals or the demonRATS. If you are a left wing liberal, it's OK to air negative ads toward the President, our troops, our country, etc., because that's what's fashionable. Dan Rather told me that and he wouldn't lie!
