I recently moved to Topeka, and received a letter saying that since it was my first time voting in Shawnee county I would need to provide ID when voting. I brought it with me, but was never asked for it. I think ALL voters should be required to provide ID.

I agree...I live in Lawrence and recently registered in a new precint. My first vote was in the primary and was asked for no i.d. Saw a friend at poll today who has never voted at this particular location and she was asked for no I.D. There were a couple of cars in the parking lot with K/E stickers on them and we did seem to have a poll watcher, but I didn't ask his party affiliation.

My husband voted earlier with a 30 minute wait at 7am. He said that there were people in line who said that they had never seen so many at that location. However, Douglas County went for Gore...along with Wyandotte County, so...don't know that means popular vote wise...Thank God for the rest of the state.
