DaimlerChrysler division doesn't care about appealing to women, design chief says.
DETROIT, Jan 19 (Reuters) - DaimlerChrysler AG has no qualms about ignoring female tastes -- at least when it comes to selling Dodge cars.
The new Dodge Magnum sport wagon and a soon-to-be-released Dodge Charger, a modern update of the classic muscle car from the 1960s, are very much targeted at a male audience, said Trevor Creed, design chief at the company's U.S.-based Chrysler unit.
"It does scream male, there's no doubt about that. We found that in our market research and focus groups," he said at an automotive conference in the Detroit suburb of Dearborn.

If the remake the Plymouth Barracuda, I hope they don't make it look weird, too.

All we need is a Confederate Flag on the roof of that hot baby! And maybe Jessica Simpson in the front passenger seat as Daisy Duke. WAAAAAAH HOOOOOOOOOO!

Mean looking machines but too darn small. A man needs room inside a man's car and these smurf machines are too cramped. Dodge trucks, now that's going in the right direction.

I am a woman and I learned how to drive in a 1969 Dodge Charger. I can't wait to see this car in person.

I bet you have a few choice words for their marketing team. In reality what they probably learned was that suggesting they were "men only" cars would pique female car enthusiasts' interest. Women today seem to be in on games of oneupmanship, too :)

When I was a young 'un all I wanted was the "banana Charger" from Dirty Mary & Crazy Larry.
Now all I want is a black/blacked out Dodge Magnum with a Hemi.
[looks like auto-evil incarnate, plenty of sensible dog/grocery space...*perfect*]
Is that so very much for a girl to ask for?.....:)

I rememeber my 4th Grade teacher drove a brand new Charger or Barracuda. She was a fox and all us young welps were in love with her. She was a tough teacher too.
Mrs. Richmond; if you are still out there, we still love you!!

For starters, you'd want a set of
unleaded heads, and at $2,495.00 pair this beast isn't going to be cheap. But you'll turn a lot of men's heads as you rumble down the street, windows down, hand resting on the slapstick shifter...

And when was the original Charger a four door.
